JFrog has launched a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that lets developers control the JFrog platform directly from AI coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and VS Code. Instead of navigating dozens of UI screens to set up repositories, access controls, and security policies during a trial, users can issue plain-language commands to their AI agent. The MCP server is hosted on JFrog's SaaS infrastructure, requires no local installation, and uses OAuth for authentication. It exposes tools covering Artifactory repositories, builds, package security (Xray, Catalog, Curation), release bundle distribution, evidence/attestation records, and AppTrust application lifecycle management.
