TeamCity 2026.1 introduces a free open-source CLI with 60+ commands for managing builds from the terminal, plus Model Context Protocol (MCP) support enabling AI agents (e.g., Cursor, JetBrains IDEs) to analyze and fix build failures. Pipelines get major enhancements including upstream dependencies, Kotlin DSL support, improved Run page, and build features for jobs. SAML authentication is now bundled, AI Assistant is available in Enterprise trials, and a high-severity CVE (CVE-2026-44413) affecting all On-Premises versions has been patched. The release also introduces a new YYYY.N naming convention aligned with other JetBrains tools.
