Rather than testing each cell manually, an automated system called 'Cell Goblin' was designed around a custom PCB with an ESP32-S2 microcontroller. The setup handles charging, discharging, measuring, and quantifying individual cells, running ten at a time using five dual-cell testers. An internal resistance meter is also integrated via UART into the PC-based monitoring software.
