The Best Prioritization Is No Prioritization

Prioritization frameworks like RICE or Kano are largely ineffective — they're hard to validate, generate endless debate, and consume enormous planning overhead. Two better alternatives exist: build faster (speed makes precise prioritization less critical and teaches more than any framework), and keep teams in dedicated, durable lanes so cross-team prioritization questions never arise. Resourcing decisions (hiring, downsizing, reorging) replace prioritization debates, are grounded in facts, and naturally slow down thrash. Stakeholder management also becomes simpler when teams have stable, predictable focus areas.
