You can hide a picture inside an audio file. Aphex Twin did it in 1999.

A spectrogram turns sound into an image — time runs left to right, pitch bottom to top, and loud pixels are bright. So if you can draw with pixels, you can draw with sound.

At the end of the Windowlicker B-side, the song collapses into harsh metallic noise. Drop that noise into a spectrogram, and Richard D. James is staring right at you. He shaped the frequencies on purpose — a picture made of sound still has to sound like something, and unpleasant electronic screaming was already on-brand for his experimental style.

The technique has a name: steganography. Same as hiding a payload inside a PNG, except the payload is his face and the container is a track most listeners skip at the end.
