The approach revealed that clustering projects by interest (like computer vision applied to football analytics) can help identify your niche at the intersection of a discipline and domain you care about. ## Content After my last article on Data Science disciplines, a friend asked me a very interesting question: “As a beginner, where do I start so that I reach the full potential in matters of skills in the field?” I just published my answer: a practical method I used to discover where I belong in Data Science The approach is simple: 1. Collect projects that interest you (aim for 20-30) 2. Classify them by discipline 3. Look for patterns in what naturally excites you 4. Validate through small experiments For me, 7 out of my saved projects were Computer Vision—specifically applied to football analytics. That clustering wasn't intentional, but it revealed where my interests actually lie.
