Norwegian company Aiba has developed an AI-powered moderation tool called Amanda that monitors voice chat in near real-time to detect signs of grooming, bullying, and radicalisation. Built on machine learning models trained with Norwegian police records of cybergrooming cases, the system analyses conversational context across nearly 40 languages and routes flagged cases to human moderators. It integrates with the Odin Voice platform from 4Players and is GDPR-compliant. The tool is named after Amanda Todd, a Canadian girl who was groomed online and died by suicide. Growing regulatory pressure — including the EU's Digital Services Act, the UK's Online Safety Act, and PEGI rating changes — is driving increased industry interest in such solutions. Aiba has been working with MovieStarPlanet for two years and is in talks with larger clients.
