OpenSSF Community Day North America 2026 took place in Minneapolis on May 21, 2026, co-located with Open Source Summit North America. Key themes included AI security orchestration (Darnit tool), software transparency as an architectural principle, dependency selection best practices, governance frameworks (AMPEL, Gemara), keyless signing with Sigstore/Cosign, Git commit identity security via Gittuf, confidential SBOM transparency via Petra, SLSA adoption in automotive IVI systems, post-quantum cryptography for Sigstore, and AI-driven bug-finding with OSS-CRS.
