A survey of 200 cybersecurity practitioners across North America and Western Europe reveals a widening gap between AI-accelerated engineering and security teams' ability to keep pace. All respondents reported faster engineering delivery, yet only 38% of security teams feel they're keeping up. Top AI-amplified vulnerabilities include secrets exposure (78%), insecure dependencies (73%), and business logic flaws (72%). Two-thirds of practitioners spend more than half their week on manual validation rather than actual fixes, with legacy SAST, SCA, and secrets scanning tools generating the most noise. Practitioners are open to AI-assisted security tools but demand auditability, scoped credentials, and human review before risky actions.
