## Summary

LuSEE-Night, a radio telescope designed to detect signals from the cosmic dark ages, is scheduled to launch to the moon's far side in early 2026. The instrument will listen for faint radio signals from neutral hydrogen formed 380,000 years after the big bang, frequencies blocked by Earth's ionosphere and drowned out by terrestrial interference. Positioned on the lunar far side during the two-week night, the telescope will operate in near-total electromagnetic silence, shielded from both Earth and solar wind. The mission represents four decades of advocacy by astrophysicist Jack Burns and colleagues, who have persistently pushed for lunar-based radio astronomy despite technical challenges, political shifts, and budget constraints.
