A hardware hacker built a Pseudo Random Number Generator using three vintage neon lamps as entropy sources. The discharge variability of the lamps is measured optically via TEPT4400 ambient light sensors, fed into a Raspberry Pi Pico W, and processed through SHA-256 to produce 64-bit random seeds. A live web dashboard lets users watch the process in real time. The project is part of a broader tradition of physical-phenomenon-based RNGs, alongside Nixie tube and lava lamp variants.
