TikTok says the feature is not currently being tested in any market and may never ship. The move fits TikTok's broader push into commerce and payments: TikTok Pay currently only operates in Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand, while US TikTok Shop uses PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna and Affirm instead.
