# Timestamp fields in GitHub Projects

**[GitHub Changelog](https://daily.dev/sources/github_updates)** · 1 min read · 3 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

GitHub Projects now has three built-in timestamp fields: Created, Updated, and Closed. These fields can be added to any project view to sort and filter issues, draft issues, and pull requests by when they were opened, last modified, or closed. The Updated field tracks both item changes and project field changes, and can differ between projects for the same item.
