Together AI has acquired Refuel.ai, a startup specializing in data cleaning and structuring for AI applications. Refuel.ai's Refuel LLM-2 model family and its cloud platform for building multi-step data workflows will be integrated into Together AI's inference and fine-tuning platform. The acquisition aims to address a core bottleneck in enterprise AI development: unstructured, messy data that prevents AI apps from reaching production quality. Refuel LLM-2 is now available on Together AI's platform for serverless inference and LoRA fine-tuning, with claimed 50% fewer errors compared to state-of-the-art models on data tasks.
