Toledo 8080 processor emulator is an emulation of the Intel 8080 processor and CP/M operating system. The emulator was developed for the 19th IOCCC and won the Best of Show award. It can be compiled on *NIX compatible systems and requires two initial memory image files. The post also provides instructions on how to compile and run the emulator, as well as a little course on CP/M commands. The 8080 processor is the predecessor of the Zilog Z80 and played a significant role in the rise of microcomputers. The post includes information on porting the emulator to different platforms and provides useful links.
