Huntress ran its 2024 Capture the Flag competition throughout October, attracting 7,000+ players and 3,000+ teams. The month-long Jeopardy-style event featured 70+ challenges spanning malware analysis, reverse engineering, digital forensics, and incident response. Many challenges were inspired by real-world threats and vulnerabilities, including recreations of MOVEit Transfer exploitation, SysAid CVE-2023-47246, and ScreenConnect's SlashAndGrab. The event also included lighter, creative challenges alongside hardcore binary reverse engineering tasks, closing with a Windows event log analysis finale called 'Palimpsest.'
