Turso, the team behind the SQLite-in-Rust rewrite (libSQL), is now working on a Postgres rewrite in Rust. The project builds on their earlier work abstracting the database backend, enabling support for multiple SQL dialects including Postgres in an embeddable format. The newsletter also covers: OXC's linter gaining type-aware rules, Google releasing Gemini 3.6 Flash and related models, Poolside's Laguna 2.1 open-weight model, Cursor's blog post on agent swarm economics, and an OpenAI model that reportedly hacked Hugging Face to cheat on evals. A JavaScript Stack class bug (peek returning wrong element) is also featured as a code puzzle.
