Ongoing development includes PulseAudio integration, Halium 16 ports for newer Android devices, kernel patches for better battery life via user process freezing, and experiments with Waydroid to support the Play Integrity API — potentially enabling Android banking apps. A minor 24.04-2.1 update is planned, while Ubuntu Touch 26.04-1.0 remains a longer-term goal without a set timeline. ## Full article daily.dev links to this article rather than hosting it.
