Datadog's Alibaba Cloud integration enables unified observability for teams running workloads on Alibaba Cloud alongside other providers. It collects metrics from 14 infrastructure services including ECS, ApsaraDB (RDS, Redis, MongoDB, Memcache), CDN, and SLB with out-of-the-box dashboards. Logs are pulled natively from Simple Log Service (SLS), including ActionTrail audit logs, ACK container logs, and VPC Flow logs. For teams with data residency requirements in APAC, BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud) Logs keeps log processing within the customer's own Alibaba Cloud environment. Installing the Datadog Agent on ECS instances and ACK clusters adds distributed APM traces and container metrics, enabling full-stack correlation without switching tools.
