Apple is notifying developers that Texas law SB 2420 takes effect June 4, 2026, following a court ruling lifting an injunction. The law requires age assurance and parental consent for minors under 18 for app downloads, in-app purchases, and significant app changes. Developers must implement the Declared Age Range API, the Significant Change API under PermissionKit, a new age rating property in StoreKit, and configure App Store server notifications for consent revocation. Apple recommends using the sandbox environment to validate these integrations.
