The attackers are exploiting internet-connected programmable logic controllers from Rockwell, Schneider Electric, and Siemens, manipulating display data and disabling critical shutdown and alarm processes to cause unsafe conditions without operator notification. The advisory warns that potentially all internet-exposed industrial control systems may be at risk.
