I really don’t get why people use React, a framework for building highly dynamic websites, to render a static blog. Given that my blog doesn’t have nearly 2k posts, it renders from markdown to HTML in milliseconds with hugo. I am confident it would still be faster than three minutes at the scale of OPs blog.

I asked codex about my options for a site with a basic landing/marketing page (for now) that will also have a blog in pretty soon, and it recommended astro. And it coded the website from a flyer for that site. It took everything from that flyer (even extracted the images, made sure to take only the part that didn’t have any text overlay).
P.S. Also mentioned that I will host it on Cloudflare Workers, so it took that into consideration while deciding the framework.
