Valve has confirmed a summer 2026 release window for the Steam Machine in a developer-focused blog post, narrowing it down from a vague '2026' timeline. The window spans late June to late September, though a backend 'Welcome Tour' page added on May 30th hints the launch could come sooner — the Steam Controller shipped roughly two weeks after a similar page appeared. Pricing remains unconfirmed, but due to the ongoing RAM shortage and rising component costs, the Steam Machine is expected to land around $1,000, up from its original ~$700 estimate. Valve also noted that games running well on the Steam Deck will run smoothly on the Steam Machine with no additional developer work.
