# VitVio brings its 3D operating room AI to a hospital in Mexico

**[The Next Web](https://daily.dev/sources/tnw)** · 3 min read · 0 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

London startup VitVio is deploying its Vetro AI system across every operating room at Hospital Español de Veracruz, its first deal in Latin America. Vetro uses cameras and sensors to build a live 3D model of the operating room, with AI agents helping manage the work around surgery, such as tracking instruments and spotting delays. VitVio says it tracks cases and equipment rather than individuals and strips personal details from data. The deal could expand to 60 operating theatres across seven hospitals in the group. VitVio, founded in 2024, has raised $10m, and it recently began installing Vetro at a hospital in Gdańsk, Poland. It also works with specialist hospitals in New York and NHS hospitals in England. VitVio has not disclosed how long it retains that data or where it is stored.
