Vodacom Group's fintech business has crossed 100 million active financial services customers for the first time, reaching 103 million in the year ended March 2026 — a 17.4% year-on-year increase. Financial services revenue grew 19.6% to R16.8-billion, now representing 12.6% of total group service revenue. Egypt was the fastest-growing market with Vodafone Cash revenue up 48.2%, while South Africa's VodaPay super-app grew 8.1%. Across international markets, M-Pesa revenue rose 22.8% normalised to R9.9-billion. Vodacom's platforms processed $525.6-billion in transaction value, and combined with rival MTN's MoMo platform ($500.3-billion), African mobile money operators now collectively process over $1-trillion annually. Vodacom has raised its Vision 2030 fintech customer target to 130 million.
