We finally revived our Firefox add-on (10 years late)

OMG! Ubuntu has revived its Firefox browser add-on after nearly a decade of inactivity. The extension, based on the same codebase as the existing Chrome extension, adds a toolbar icon with a pop-over showing the 12 most recent headlines with thumbnails and an unread badge count. It periodically wakes up to check for new posts and sends desktop notifications. Cross-device unread sync works via Mozilla account. The only notable difference from the Chrome version is the absence of notification action buttons, which Firefox doesn't support. Notification disable controls are planned but not yet available.
