A hobbyist built a web-based remote control interface for the Albrecht AE-5900 CB radio by emulating its microphone serial protocol. The setup uses an FT232 USB-to-serial adapter, a USB sound card with isolation transformers, and a USB hub, all mounted on perfboard and connected to a Raspberry Pi. A Python script on the Pi serves a web frontend for full rig control with minimal hardware intrusion into the radio itself.

The hobbyist is in the club now. :)
Nice to see and hear, more and more OM’s building and using the device.
Since today we came close to make it useable for ham’s. The VFO-Mode will be included in the next days i think.
Since I’m not a real coder, I have all my code checked and improved by various AIs. I’m more the type who revives junk with a soldering iron. The project itself is simply a gift to the other radio enthusiasts who keep the whole thing alive.
I’ve added a video, german lang, just to show whats new.
