# Web devs sleeping with the enemy: AI is doing their job and they worry it's after their desk too

> As someone who builds websites, AI feels more like a faster teammate than a replacement. The bigger skill now is knowing what to keep, what to fix, and when not to trust the output.

> It's never been devs, it's always the disconnect between managers and their job (goals). Devs are treated as a resource instead of the authority on problem solving. So of course if we can use AI to replace that resource its great. Until it isn't.
