Two Six Technologies is running a weekly series called 'What is it Wednesdays' where unknown devices are scanned using a Northstar X5000 225kV CT scanner and readers are challenged to identify the exact make and model from CT scan images. Episode 003.1 releases the first evidence package for Device 003, consisting of raw CT scan PNG images of the device in its original packaging. The series may also include bills of materials, recovered firmware, and memory dumps in later episodes. The CT scanner operates at resolutions down to 1 µm, enabling non-destructive reverse engineering of hardware without toxic chemicals or destructive de-layering.
