# What Link data tells us about AI spending

## Summary

Stripe analyzed spending data from 250 million Link wallet customers and found AI spending is accelerating sharply. The top 10% of AI spenders nearly doubled their monthly spend from $183 to $359 in just one quarter (December 2025 to March 2026), a pace far faster than prior growth. Spending on AI app-builder platforms like Replit, Lovable, and Bolt grew 5x compared to January 2025. Stripe also announced Link's wallet for agents, enabling AI agents to make purchases on behalf of users with configurable spending controls across any Stripe merchant.
