# What’s coming next to Free Edition

Databricks is expanding its Free Edition with five new features: Genie Code (an autonomous code-generating AI assistant), serverless GPU access for deep learning workloads, Lakebase (a fully managed Postgres-compatible database for data apps and AI agents), Agent Bricks (a framework for building production-ready AI agents), and Lakeflow Designer (a visual pipeline builder). Over 500,000 users have already used Free Edition, which has distributed $10M+ in free credits. With these additions, Free Edition now covers every core Databricks practitioner feature for end-to-end data and AI projects.
