# What’s New in InfluxDB 3.11: A Significant Performance Upgrade for Complex Time Series Workloads

**[InfluxData](https://daily.dev/sources/influxdb)** · 5 min read · 0 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

InfluxDB 3.11 is now generally available with major performance and data management improvements for complex time series workloads. Key highlights include up to 4x faster queries for single-series workloads, expanded schema flexibility supporting thousands of tables and millions of columns with ultra-sparse dataset handling, and more predictable memory and resource usage during heavy ingest and compaction. The Enterprise edition gains end-to-end backup and restore, bulk Parquet file import, and row-level deletes by time range or tag predicate. A built-in Explorer UI is also included, offering SQL, InfluxQL, and natural language querying, AI-assisted Flux-to-SQL conversion, schema browsing, and plugin management.
