View-based components (Fragments, RecyclerView, Material View Components) are now in maintenance mode — no new features, only critical bug fixes. Compose 1.10 and 1.11 bring a new experimental Styles API for easier component customization, performance improvements (scroll jank, startup speed), and three new adaptive layout APIs: media query, flexbox, and grid. TikTok reported 20–78% page load time reductions after migrating screens to Compose.
