What’s new in Svelte: February 2026

Svelte 5.47-5.49 introduces custom select element styling support, parseCss export from svelte/compiler, and ShadowRootInit configuration for custom elements. SvelteKit 2.50 updates remote functions with new button props syntax. The Node adapter adds keepAliveTimeout and headersTimeout environment variables, while the Vercel adapter improves observability for remote function calls. The community released new libraries including state management tools (svstate, rune-sync), UI components (mapcn-svelte, Motion Core), and development tools (svelte-fast-check, kit-on-lambda adapter). Several Svelte-based applications launched, including Frame (media converter), LogTide (logging platform), and various web apps.
