# What’s Next for Pagure.io?!

**[Fedora Magazine](https://daily.dev/sources/fedoramag)** · 3 min read · 1 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

Fedora Project is decommissioning pagure.io at the end of July 2026 and migrating to a new Forgejo-based forge. Contributors with active repositories on pagure.io need to either join existing organizations on the new Fedora Forge or open a ticket with the forge team. Historical links will be preserved via redirects. The next major migration target is dist-git, which requires upstream Forgejo enhancements written in Go. The production instance is currently on Forgejo v15.0.2 LTS, with an upgrade to v19 planned.
