Greg Kroah-Hartman has announced a policy rejecting LLM-generated patches for the Linux kernel's drivers/staging subsystem. His reasoning: staging exists as a training ground for newcomers to learn the kernel contribution process, and having AI do the cleanup work defeats that purpose.
