## Summary

AI coding agents perform differently across web stacks not because of training data availability but because of how much system truth is visible in the repository and how cheap verification is. Astro's static, file-based architecture with fast build/type checks makes it agent-friendly. Laravel provides strong contracts through conventions, migrations, and tests. WordPress, despite having the most public code for training, is the hardest for agents because real site behavior depends on database options, active plugins, theme overrides, and runtime state invisible to the agent. The conclusion is that agent-friendly architecture depends on visibility and deterministic feedback loops, not on which framework a model knows best.

## Content

AI agents do not perform equally across stacks, even with the same model and prompts. In this article, I compare agent work in Astro, Laravel, and WordPress. The difference is not training data. WordPress has the most public code, yet is the hardest environment for autonomous agent work.

The better lens is practical: how much system truth lives in the repository, and how cheap verification is. Static Astro works well because routes, content, schemas, and behavior are visible as files, while build and type checks give agents a fast pass/fail loop. Laravel sits in the middle: conventions, migrations, policies, and tests give agents a strong contract.

WordPress is different. Agents can write good plugin code, but the real site is assembled from database options, active plugins, theme overrides, roles, hooks, and runtime state the agent cannot see.

The takeaway: agent-friendly architecture is not about which framework the model knows best. It is about visibility and deterministic feedback. When two stacks fit equally well, the one with more repo-legible truth and cheaper verification is easier to maintain with AI agents.
