Apple's signed a deal with Google to deliver the AI... there is no race. However, if you want to write an article about their approach to conducting business and knowing when to cut their loses short while paying attention to their margins (as well as the quality of their product offering to their customer base) better than the competition, that's a different story and worth talking about.
