Structured intent — a testable, organized specification covering goals, business rules, boundaries, exceptions, and expected outputs — gives AI less room to guess and more people (including non-developers) the ability to review and validate behavior. This approach doesn't eliminate engineering; security, performance, error handling, and deployment still require developers. Instead, it proposes a 'low code, high intent, strong validation' model where structured intent serves as a shared source of truth from which code, tests, documentation, and training materials are derived. AI can also reverse the process, extracting observable rules from legacy code — though it cannot recover the original reasoning behind decisions.
