# Why Invenco Migrated From Aurora Serverless v2 to Neon

**[Neon](https://daily.dev/sources/neontech)** · 4 min read · 0 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

Invenco, a logistics SaaS company running a serverless AWS Lambda architecture, migrated from Aurora Serverless v2 to Neon after Aurora struggled with concurrent connections during traffic spikes. The migration reduced database costs by 80% (1/6 of previous AWS bill), resolved connection bottlenecks via Neon's pgBouncer-based pooler, and simplified non-production workflows using Neon's branching feature. Invenco uses a one-project-per-service model for production and a single consolidated project for all non-prod environments. Migration was performed using logical replication for minimal downtime, and Neon is also used for BI streaming via Fivetran and Kafka.
