# Why scrum is becoming irrelevant

## Summary

Scrum should encourage teams to learn through experience, self-organize while working on a problem, and reflect on their wins and losses to improve continuously. Scrum has, unfortunately, ended up destroying the central tenet of agile, which is people over process. A lot of this comes down to bad management and the rise of the certified scrum master.

> Text definitively has some good points but it’s not all black and white. There are many more variables to get in consideration, like team seniority, size and fluctuation of team members, and of course SM quality and experience regardless of certification.

> The best agile project management methodology you can use IMO is Kanban. Its simple and you get things done. Scrum is just another version of good ol' waterfall process.
