Microsoft's Windows team provides a four-month progress update on quality commitments made in March. Improvements delivered include taskbar and Start menu customization, File Explorer architecture enhancements, reduced Windows Update disruption, faster app launches, improved memory efficiency, better Windows Hello reliability, WSL containers public preview, and a simplified Windows Insider Program. Looking ahead, the team is expanding focus into four new areas: onboarding and setup, memory optimization for 8GB+ devices, family controls, and voice interaction. Most improvements are currently in Windows Insider Preview and will roll out broadly to Windows 11 PCs starting this fall.
