Windows 11 is improving its Search function to better match typos and mangled input to installed apps, reducing accidental Bing web searches. An experimental build already handles inputs like 'tskm' for Task Manager that currently fall through to web search. Microsoft is also working on a toggle to force local-only search, excluding web and Microsoft Store results entirely — good news for users, potentially bad news for Bing's usage metrics.
