Wine's native Wayland driver now supports fractional scaling, implemented by Etaash Mathamsetty and merged ahead of the Wine 11.12 bi-weekly release. The feature allows Wine to render at user-specified DPI settings while keeping windows crisp, and handles multiple displays with different fractional scales better than XWayland. This is part of ongoing maturation of the winewayland.drv driver, with Wine 12.0 expected in early 2027.
