First, the default reasoning effort was quietly downgraded from 'high' to 'medium' on March 4th to reduce perceived freezing, and was restored on April 7th after user feedback. Second, a bug introduced on March 26th caused Claude to forget prior context after every turn instead of only after an hour of inactivity, leading to repetition; fixed April 10th.
