ZecTrix Note 4 – A 4.2-inch ESP32-S3 wireless e-paper display for voice tasks

ZecTrix Lab has released the Note 4, an ESP32-S3-based smart note device featuring a 4.2-inch e-paper display, built-in microphone and speaker, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a 2,000mAh battery. A Note 4C variant offers a four-color e-paper panel. The official firmware uses a cloud-based Qwen3.5 AI voice assistant (currently Chinese-only, English preview planned before September 2026), but community firmware projects enable use cases like AI coding voice input (OpenAI Codex, Claude Code), transit displays, and information dashboards. The device supports GPIO expansion and open-source 3D model files for DIY enclosures. The premium edition is available on Tindie for $54.99, while the Note 4C is sold on Taobao for approximately $148.
