Welcome to daily.dev Giveback (the “Program”). Giveback is our way of turning community energy into good in the world: you help daily.dev grow, and together we direct real money to nonprofits doing meaningful work. These terms (the “Terms”) explain how the Program works and what we expect from everyone taking part, so that all the good we do together stays fair, honest, and transparent. By participating, you agree to these Terms, in addition to our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If anything here conflicts with the general Terms of Service in relation to the Program, these Terms control.
The short version
You complete community tasks (posting about daily.dev, organizing events, and more), and for each task we approve, we add a dollar amount to a donation pool that we donate to nonprofits you choose from our curated list, up to a total Program cap of US $50,000. The money is ours, not yours: participation is completely free, and you never pay or receive anything of monetary value. Donations are a goodwill gesture made at our discretion, not a prize, payment, or contractual obligation, and you receive no tax benefit, receipt, or certificate. Be honest and transparent: disclose your connection to the Program when you post, follow each platform’s rules, and never fake engagement. We review every submission and may approve, decline, or disqualify at our discretion. This summary is for convenience only; the full Terms below are what count.
1. What the Program is
1.1. daily.dev Giveback is a community campaign operated by Daily Dev Ltd. (“daily.dev”, “we”, “us”). During the Program period, registered daily.dev users can complete marketing and community activities from a list we publish in the Program interface (each, a “Task”). For each Task we review and approve, we assign a dollar value and add it to a donation pool, which we, daily.dev, using our own funds, intend to donate to nonprofit organizations selected from a curated list we maintain (the “Nonprofit List”). Every approved Task is a small act that adds up to something bigger: real support for causes our community cares about.
1.2. Program period. The Program starts in July 2026 and is currently scheduled to run until December 31, 2026. We may extend, shorten, pause, or end the Program at any time (see Section 15).
2. Who can participate
2.1. To participate, you must hold a registered daily.dev account in good standing, be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher), and be legally permitted to participate under the laws that apply to you.
2.2. Employees, contractors, and officers of daily.dev, and members of their immediate families, are welcome to join the community spirit of the Program but are not eligible to generate donation credits.
2.3. Participation is personal and non-transferable, and is limited to one account per person.
2.4. The Program is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
3. How it works
3.1. The Program interface lists the available Tasks, and for each Task: what it involves, its completion criteria, any limits (per person or overall), and the dollar value it contributes to the donation pool.
3.2. Different Tasks have different completion criteria. Please read them before you start, since a Task only counts if it meets its published criteria.
3.3. We may add, remove, or modify Tasks and their values at any time. Changes apply prospectively and will not affect Tasks we have already approved.
3.4. To claim a Task, submit it through the Program interface with the proof we ask for (for example, a public link or screenshot).
3.5. Unless a Task says otherwise, content you create for a Task (posts, reviews, mentions, and similar) must remain publicly available for at least 30 days after submission. Deleting or materially editing it during that period may void the related credit.
3.6. Some activities in the Program interface may be listed without a dollar value, just for the love of the community. Completing them helps daily.dev grow and is deeply appreciated, but it does not generate donation credits. These Terms apply to those activities as well.
4. Review and approval
4.1. Every submission is subject to our review. We may verify submissions in any reasonable way, request additional proof, and take as much time as we reasonably need.
4.2. Approval is at our sole discretion, and our decisions are final. Completing a Task does not, by itself, entitle you or any nonprofit to a donation, including where we find fraud, manipulation, a breach of these Terms, or anything else that, in our reasonable judgment, undermines the generous spirit of the Program.
5. Donations
5.1. All donations under the Program are made by daily.dev, from our own funds. You never pay anything, and nothing of monetary value is ever paid, owed, or transferred to you. Your contribution is your time, creativity, and voice; ours is the money.
5.2. Total Program donations are capped at US $50,000 in the aggregate. We may stop accepting or approving Task submissions once the cap is reached. We may also, at our sole discretion, donate less or more than that amount, depending on participation and other factors. The more the community engages, the more good we can do together.
5.3. Donations are made on a goodwill, voluntary basis, because we believe growing a company and doing good in the world can go hand in hand. Nothing in these Terms creates a legally enforceable obligation on daily.dev to make any donation, and no participant, nonprofit, or other third party acquires any right, claim, or third-party beneficiary status with respect to any donation.
5.4. We may make donations periodically during the Program and/or after it ends, and we expect to complete donations within approximately 90 days after the Program ends, subject to verification and the other provisions of these Terms.
5.5. Donations are typically made as aggregate amounts per nonprofit, rather than as individual per-Task transfers.
5.6. Donation credits are not money. The Program interface may show donation credits in a “wallet,” progress bar, or similar display. These credits are notional tracking units only. They are not money, currency, stored value, or property of yours, they have no cash or redemption value, they are non-transferable, and they cannot be withdrawn, exchanged, claimed, or converted into anything. They exist solely to track the amounts daily.dev intends to donate in connection with your approved Tasks.
5.7. Progress bars, wallet balances, and cause distribution displays in the Program interface are indicative estimates until donations are actually completed. Actual donated amounts and allocations may differ, for example due to review outcomes, rounding, the donation cap, or reallocation under these Terms.
6. Choosing a nonprofit
6.1. When participating, you may select one or more organizations from the Nonprofit List to be associated with your approved Tasks. This is your chance to point our shared effort toward the causes closest to your heart.
6.2. If you select multiple nonprofits, we will split the associated amounts equally between them, or otherwise as we reasonably determine, for example where amounts do not divide evenly, where rounding is needed, or where minimum donation amounts apply.
6.3. If you do not make a selection, we may allocate the associated amounts among the Nonprofit List at our discretion.
6.4. The Nonprofit List is curated by us and may change at any time. Inclusion on the list does not imply any relationship between daily.dev and the organization (see Section 7).
6.5. If a nonprofit declines or cannot accept a donation for any reason (or if legal, compliance, reputational, or practical issues arise), we will make reasonable efforts to offer you an alternative from the Nonprofit List. If that is not practical, we may allocate the relevant amounts equally among the remaining organizations on the Nonprofit List, or to one or more comparable nonprofits, at our reasonable discretion, so that the good we set out to do still gets done.
6.6. You may add or remove causes from your selection at any time through the Program interface. Changes apply to donation credits that have not yet been donated, or otherwise as we reasonably determine.
7. The nonprofits are not affiliated with us
Unless we expressly say otherwise, the organizations on the Nonprofit List have not partnered with, sponsored, endorsed, or coordinated with daily.dev, and are not involved in operating the Program. Their names and logos belong to them. We chose them because we admire their work, and we cannot guarantee that any particular organization will accept a donation.
8. No tax benefits
All donations are made by daily.dev in its own name. You will not receive any donation receipt, certificate, acknowledgment, or tax benefit of any kind, and your participation does not constitute a charitable contribution by you for tax purposes in any jurisdiction. Promotional materials for the Program (including videos, emails, and the Program interface) may use simplified phrases such as “we donate on your behalf,” “your wallet,” or “your credits.” These are shorthand for convenience only: all donations are made by daily.dev, in its own name and from its own funds, and these Terms govern. If you separately wish to support any organization directly, we would love that, but it is entirely your own choice, made outside the Program. If you have tax questions, consult your own adviser.
9. Be honest and disclose
Doing good starts with doing it honestly. The Program only works, for the community and for the nonprofits, if every contribution is genuine.
9.1. Follow the rules. Comply with all applicable laws and with the rules of every platform you use (social networks, review sites, app stores, newsletter platforms, and so on).
9.2. Disclose your connection. Because daily.dev donates to charity in connection with your activity, you have a material connection to us that must be clearly disclosed wherever you post, review, or promote daily.dev as part of the Program. For example: “I’m taking part in the daily.dev Giveback program, where daily.dev donates to nonprofits for community activities like this.” A clear hashtag (such as #dailydevGiveback together with #ad or #sponsored where customary) may be appropriate depending on the platform.
9.3. Only share what’s true. Reviews and posts must reflect your honest, personal experience with daily.dev. Never make false or misleading claims about daily.dev or anyone else.
9.4. Respect platform policies on incentivized content. Some platforms restrict or prohibit incentivized reviews or engagement. If a platform does not permit a given activity, do not do it there. A Task completed in breach of a platform’s rules will not be approved.
9.5. Be clear about sponsorship. When organizing events or including daily.dev in newsletters, clearly identify daily.dev’s involvement or sponsorship.
9.6. Invite with care. Where a Task involves inviting others to daily.dev, only invite people you personally know and who would genuinely welcome it. Bulk, automated, or unsolicited invitations are not allowed and will not be approved.
10. Prohibited conduct
The following will result in disqualification and may result in further action under our Terms of Service:
10.1. Creating fake, duplicate, or automated accounts, or using bots, scripts, or purchased engagement.
10.2. Spamming, mass unsolicited posting, or any activity likely to be perceived as spam.
10.3. Misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent submissions, including fabricated proof.
10.4. Paying, incentivizing, or coordinating with others to generate artificial engagement.
10.5. Impersonating any person or organization, or misrepresenting your relationship with daily.dev.
10.6. Any content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, or otherwise violates our Terms of Service or community guidelines.
10.7. Any attempt to game, manipulate, or abuse the Program.
11. If something goes wrong
We may, at our discretion and without prior notice: reject any submission; reduce, withhold, or cancel donation credits (including credits already approved, where fraud or a breach of these Terms is involved); remove you from the Program temporarily or permanently; and/or take action on your daily.dev account under our Terms of Service. We do not encourage, and will not reward, any fraudulent, abusive, or bad-faith behavior of any kind. It would defeat the whole point of a program built on generosity.
12. Your content
12.1. You keep ownership of the content you create for the Program. By submitting a Task, you grant daily.dev a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and share that content (with attribution where practical) in connection with the Program and the promotion of daily.dev. You confirm that you have all rights and permissions needed for the content you submit.
12.2. Public recognition. We love celebrating people who give back, so we may display your name, username, or handle together with your Program activity on a public Program page or in Program communications. If you would prefer not to appear, contact us (Section 18) and we will exclude you.
12.3. Achievements and recognition items. The Program interface may include achievements, badges, milestones, or similar recognition items reflecting your personal impact (“Recognition Items”). Recognition Items are symbolic. They have no cash or monetary value, are non-transferable, may be modified, revoked, or discontinued at any time, and do not constitute prizes, rewards, or compensation. If we occasionally offer tangible perks in connection with the Program (such as swag), they are discretionary gifts, subject to availability and to any additional terms we publish for them.
13. Free to participate, no payment, no relationship
13.1. Participation is entirely free. No Task ever requires you to pay daily.dev or anyone else. If anyone asks you for payment in connection with the Program, it is not from us; please report it.
13.2. If you voluntarily choose to spend money in connection with an activity (for example, costs of hosting an event), that is your own decision and responsibility, and we will not reimburse it unless we have expressly agreed in advance and in writing.
13.3. Other than the symbolic Recognition Items and discretionary perks described in Section 12.3, you will not receive any compensation, fee, prize, or payment for participating. The Program does not create any employment, contractor, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship between you and daily.dev, and you are not authorized to speak for, represent, or bind daily.dev in any way.
14. Privacy
Personal data in connection with the Program is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Submissions may include public links, screenshots, or similar proof, which we use to verify Tasks and administer the Program.
15. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may update these Terms, the Task list, Task values, the Nonprofit List, and any other element of the Program at any time, and may suspend or end the Program early (including once the donation cap is reached) or extend it, at our discretion. If we end the Program early, we intend, in good faith, to honor donation credits already approved at that point, subject to these Terms and the cap. The version of the Terms published in the Program interface at the time of your submission applies to that submission.
16. Disclaimers and liability
The Program is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, daily.dev, its affiliates, and their officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of or related to the Program, and our total aggregate liability to any participant in connection with the Program will not exceed US $100. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
17. Governing law
These Terms and the Program are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to them, without derogating from any mandatory consumer protections you may be entitled to where you live.
