1047 Games is ending active development on Empulse and Splitgate: Arena Reloaded, shifting both titles from dedicated servers to peer-to-peer hosting starting September 3, as neither game generates enough revenue to cover server costs. The studio says it is moving away from live service shooters after ten years, following multiple rounds of layoffs tied to Splitgate 2's rocky 2025 launch and Empulse's troubled June 2026 early access debut.
