SEED, a society simulator from Klang Games, features thousands of AI-powered characters (Seedlings) that continue living, working, and interacting 24/7 even when players are offline. Each character has a unique Knowledge Graph built from personal experiences, enabling emergent narratives like misunderstandings, rumors, and economic events. The game runs a custom inference pipeline built on a modified version of Google's open-source Gemma model on proprietary hardware. Characters earn salaries, visit businesses, and sustain player-built cities organically. A notable playtest story involved a player cornering the bread market, triggering government intervention and an election loss. SEED is now available in Early Access and targets casual-to-hardcore players across three archetypes: caretakers, entrepreneurs, and governors.
