I created a complex website using Claude Code, Codex, and Google Antigravity, and only one of them behaved like a senior developer

A hands-on comparison of three AI coding tools — Codex, Google Antigravity 2.0, and Claude Code (Opus 4.8) — tasked with building a complex, multi-page luxury architectural firm website. Codex was slow and produced a bare wireframe with no visual polish. Antigravity 2.0 was the fastest and delivered a premium black-and-gold layout with smooth animations, earning an 8/10. Claude Code stood out for its engineering precision, flawless typography, semantic HTML, and thoughtful use of white space, earning a 9/10 and the 'senior developer' label — though its AI-generated image assets leaned toward classic rather than modern architecture.
